We were asked to create a promotional hype reel for the world’s first controller that simulates the effects of drink driving. A reskinned and augmented console controller was built and customised to show gaming culture and eSports competitions the effects of drinking and getting behind the wheel within their own realm.
Leaning into glitchy and fast-cut 3D product visuals, we animated dynamic camera moves and graphic elements to let viewers know what they would be in for. Being a fast-paced and creatively saturated marketplace, we developed a style to suit and connect with the audience, which was crucial in allowing the PSA to be accepted and interacted with.
This film was presented within a segment at an eSports tournament hosted at QUT and run as a campaign for Transport and Main Roads. The concept has received huge allocates from the government department and has had an immediate impact on the target audience, as well as cleaning up at creative award shows across the globe.
